The Partheshwar Pujan is a sacred Vedic ritual performed with 1,325 Parthiv Shivlings (Saikata Lingams – made from sacred mud/sand) at the Mamleshwar Jyotirlinga, Omkareshwar. This powerful puja is said to carry the spiritual energy equivalent to one complete Laghu Rudra and is ideal for fulfilling personal wishes, peace, and spiritual growth.

It is believed that the Pandavas performed this ritual during their exile, and it was Ahilyabai Holkar’s favorite puja, which is now conducted daily by the Ahilya Devi Trust at Mamleshwar temple.

Description

The Partheshwar Puja at Mamleshwar Jyotirlinga is a revered ritual, performed since ancient times and believed to yield the blessings of millions of prayers. Conducted with Parthiv Shiva Lingam, also known as Saikata Lingam (Lingam made from mud or sand), this unique worship is divided into two types: Partheshwar Pujan and Chintamani Partheshwar Pujan.

1. Partheshwar Pujan: This ritual includes the worship of 1,325 Parthiv Shiva Lingams with Panchamrit (a mix of milk, curd, ghee, honey, and sugar) and chanting the powerful 5th and 8th Adhyayas of Rudra. Worshiping Lord Shiva in this form brings divine blessings and fulfills personal desires.

2. Chintamani Partheshwar Pujan: This specialized ritual focuses on overcoming worries and bringing Graha Shanti (planetary peace). It involves worshiping Lord Shiva alongside deities like Ganpati and Mata Gauri. Here, Parthiv Shiva Lingams are created in seven sizes, each corresponding to a different day of the week, enhancing the ritual’s impact on planetary energies.
